Role Description: The Genesys Software Developer would need to have at least 3 to 5 years of experience. This Candidate will design, build, test, and implement new features and functionality for global Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems that run on the Genesys Voice Portal platform.

The Genesys Software Developer will be responsible for system analysis, creating technical specification documents, developing source code, preparing unit/integration test plans, and release management. Furthermore, this position is responsible for system integrations, maintenance, and support of contact center components including, speech recognition, routing, and real-time and historical reporting.

The team deploys and maintains Genesys IVR’s, reporting, and multi-channel solutions, as well as Call Recording and Workforce Management Solutions from other leading software manufacturers

General Requirements:

  • Programming Language skill, preferably Java or Python
  • General technical understanding (i.e. general knowledge of technical components like DBs, network, firewalls, infrastructure, Cloud, storage, APIs, etc)
  • Telephony knowledge including Session Border Controllers, SIP protocol, RTP, ACDs/switches, etc
  • General knowledge of contact center capabilities including general knowledge on how the following pieces work:
    • Call Routing
    • Voice Response
    • Call Recording
    • Speech Analytics
    • Workforce Management
    • Outbound Dialing
    • Digital (SMS, Email, Text)

Key Concepts including:

    • Omni Channel
    • Blending
    • Contextual Servicing

Specific Genesys Knowledge of one or more applications including

    • Genesys Framework (includes all the framework components and pieces)
    • Genesys Routing
    • Genesys GAAP
    • Genesys WDE (desktop)
    • Genesys GA and GAX
    • Genesys Pulse, ICON, GI 2 (reporting)
    • Genesys OCS (Outbound)
    • Genesys GIR and Speechminer (Recording)
    • Genesys Workforce Management

For any of the above applications that the candidate should be able to do the following:

    • Be able to install the component into a VM based GDHA environment
    • Be able to configure the application which includes understanding the proper settings for configuration and why that setting is appropriate
    • Be able to consult with the Business on what the application can and cannot do in terms of extending or customizing the application’s functionality
    • Be able to troubleshoot the performance of the application both through direct examination of the relevant logs to the conceptual analysis of the problem v expected performance

Experience Requirements.

- 2-3 years Java/vxml Development.

- 2-3 years IVR Administration, development, or support experience (Genesys Voice Portal required).

- 2-3 years of experience with Speech Recognition technology (Nuance preferred).

- 3-5 years Linux, UNIX Server Administration.

- 3-5 years Tomcat experience and IDEs like Eclipse or Genesys Composer.

- Ability to build new routing strategies as well as tune existing strategies in Genesys IRD.

- 3-5 years of experience as Genesys Engineer/Administrator monitoring and supporting Genesys Framework 8.0/8.5.

- Must have a telecommunication background and experience with VOIP/SIP/CTI standards and technologies.

- Experience with GVP reporting, InfoMart, CCPulse.

- Genesys Certification preferred – Framework, Routing, SIP Server, and Genesys Voice Portal.

Education: Bachelor’s degree
